In traffic circle heaven
Did you know that? France has half of the world's traffic circles. There are between 30,000 and 40,000 traffic circles in the country. The love affair between France and traffic circles is not about to end, as every year between 500 and 800 traffic circles are built. Some traffic circles have almost become works of art.
In the center, you can often see various decorations such as sculptures, flowers, plastic cows, illuminations ... Not surprisingly, the inventor of traffic circles is a French architect named Eugene Hénard. The first traffic circles were created in Paris more than a hundred years ago.
